An original by Smiths from 1938 this clock has been fully serviced and is in working order. The sunburst design has links with England's agricultural roots as well as to the sun....giver of life. The rising sun was also an emblem used on the facades of many Australian houses at the turn of the 20th century. Many current reproductions play on this sunburst theme without the detailed workmanship and yet the same or an even greater asking price.
